  1. Medium pot, small frying pan, whisk
  2. 1 pound (5oo g) gai lan, stem and leaves split
  3. 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  4. 2 teaspoon peanut oil
  5. 6 garlic cloves, sliced
  6. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  7. 2 tablespoons black vinegar
  8. 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  9. 1 tablespoon honey

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Place the gai lan stems in the pot and simmer for 2 minutes. Transfer the gai lan stems to a plate. Place the gai lan leaves in the water and cook for 1 minute.Transfer the leaves to the same plate as the stems.
  2. In a small pan over medium-high heat, combine the sesame oil and peanut oil and let heat up for about 1 minute. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant,about 2 minutes.Transfer to a bowl. Add the black vinegar,soy sauce,and honey to the bowl and whisk together. Pour over the gai lan and serve
